National Health Research Conference 2021: “Gender Based Violence and the COVID-19 Pandemic”
The National Health Research Conference, at its inception in 2010, sought to highlight research being conducted by the Ministry of Health (now the Ministry of Health and Wellness), other institutions and individuals, and to facilitate discussions on national and regional research priorities, while providing an opportunity for health research networking. This year the Conference is being held under the theme “COVID-19 Year in Review: A Multi-dimensional Perspective.”
Dr. Tazmoye Crawford leads a panel comprised of Mrs. Diahann Gordon-Harrison (Children’s Advocate, Office of the Children’s Advocate), Senior Superintendent Stephanie Lindsay (Jamaica Constabulary Force), Dr. Elizabeth Ward (Chairman, Violence Prevention Alliance), and Reverend Jason Downer in discussion on Gender Based Violence and the COVID-19 Pandemic.
